Community rules
Last updated: 25 October 2026
Chuss is for everyone. By choosing a username and playing online, you agree to these rules. There's no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive players.
The rules
- Keep your username clean. No offensive, hateful, sexual or threatening names, and don't pretend to be someone else or the Chuss Team.
- Be decent to other players. No harassment, threats or hate, including through friend requests and challenges.
- Play fair. No using chess engines or other help during online games, and no deliberately losing or creating extra accounts to change ratings.
Reporting and blocking
Tap a player's name in your friends list or on the leaderboard, or tap Report or block opponent after an online game. Report sends their name to us to review; they aren't told who reported them. Block stops them sending you friend requests or challenges and removes them from your friends. You can unblock players in Profile → Blocked players.
What we do
We review every report, usually within 24 hours. Depending on what happened, we may reset an offensive username, or suspend or delete the account. For anything urgent, email support@playchuss.com.
